In fine weather at Scroggie, Falkland lost to Dunfermline, but there were a few commendable performances, notably Kevin Chapman with his 70 not out, and in addition, in his bowling his first six overs were maidens.
Dunfermline's total owed a great deal to its middle order after the openers struggled, and Falkland lost professional Tim Lythe early and never really dominated the accurate Dunfermline attack. The game was played throughout in a very sporting fashion.
