Best performers for Falkland were Stuart Lindsay who made an excellent return to the 2nds with 4 for 11 off 10 overs; Mike Morris who bowled with control and discipline and also took 4 wickets; and young Gregor Lawson in his first game as wicketkeeper for the 2nds took 2 catches, should have been awarded 2 more and kept very tidily. Geordie Gallagher, another junior, also fielded with great enthusiasm.

Torrential rain forced the players off. After a delay of an hour, the rain stopped, Falkland wanted to restart, but the opposition refused and the game was abandoned
