An outstanding result for Falkland with the team containing 7 juniors against a Kinross side with several under age Scottish interantionals.

On a wicket where the ball kept very low, Falkland batted sensibly to reach a competitive score of 134.

Kinross had a terrible start to their innings when their top batsman James Ross was out first ball of their reply to an excellent low catch by wicketkeeper Gregor Lawson off Thomas Brunton. Thomas bowled exceptionally well to take the first 4 wickets, 3 of them clean bowled with balls which came back off the seam. The other Falkland bowlers, Geordie Gallagher, Mike Morris and Stuart Lindsay and Kieran Westland who bowled at the death all played their part in an excellent team effort.

The main difference between the teams was the fielding and the attitude of Falkland's young players which as usual was first class. Falkland wanted to win the match and the players really played out of their skins. One not so young player Rory Manson led by example with his fielding.

Falkland are now through to the semi finals of this cup, so bring on the next opposition!
